Arrest Buhari, Associates Over Illegal Radio Station—PDP
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential Campaign Organization, PDPPCO,
yesterday, demanded the arrest of the presidential candidate of All
Progressives Congress, APC, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), and his top
associates over the existence of an illegal radio station called Radio Chanji.
Addressing journalists in Abuja, Director, Media and Publicity of PDPPCO, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, cited Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers State; former governor of Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi and former Nigeria Ambassador to Spain, Ambassador Yusuf Mamman, as among the top associates to be questioned.

Unemployment Causing Girl Child Trafficking, Brain Drain – Buhari’s Wife
Wife of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Mrs. Aisha Buhari, on Thursday identified unemployment as a major factor causing girl-child trafficking and brain drain in the South-South geopolitical zone.
Mrs. Buhari, who made this known while addressing women and party supporters at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin, the Edo State capital, said her husband was coming back to sanitise the system, adding that Nigeria needed a person like him.
Present at the event were the State Governor, Adams Oshiomhole; his mother, Aisha Oshiomhole; Deputy Governor, Dr. Pius Odubu; wives of the APC National Chairman and Deputy Governor, Mrs. Victoria Oyegun and Mrs. Endurance Odubu respectively as well as candidates and other leaders of the party.
Judicial Strike: Court Awards Enugu - based Lawyer N500,000,00 Compensation
An Enugu High Court, presided over by Justice R. N. Onuorah on Monday the 2nd day of March 2015 awarded the sum of N 500, 000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Naira) as compensation to an Enugu-based lawyer Mr Chukwunonso Daniel Ogbe, and against the Government of Enugu State, following the strike action that was embarked upon by members of Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) on the 11th day of July 2014.
Rivers: 23 LGA chairmen, thousands of APC supporters protest police bias

hours after the Police Commissioner Dan Bature, accused Governor Chibuike
Amaechi of attacking the command because the command refused to bow to pressure
to release hardened criminals, thousands All Progressive Congress, APC members
led by 23 Caretaker committee chairmen this morning staged a peaceful protest
to the Police Headquarters calling for justice, fairness in handling political
motivated arrests of APC members.
The peaceful protesters who were carrying placards that read “Police stop arresting us”, Treat APC, PDP equally”, “Police Stop killing of our members”, You are killing us and calling us cultists, hardened criminals”, Police don’t dare rig election for PDP” and many more berated the state Police Command for re-attesting and detaining Hon Charles Anyanwu, the Caretaker committee chairman of Etche local Council and others despite being cleared by a Federal High Court and be granted bail. The caretaker committee chairmen who were also joined by Tony Okocha, marched to the Police Headquarters, Moscow Road for fair treatment. The protest started at about 7:00 a.m. with protesters trekking along Port Harcourt/Aba road to Police headquarters.

restive when Police trucks drove menacingly through crowd of protesters to
disperse them. However, nobody was hurt.
PDP Coordinators Beat Up Zonal Secretary
Peoples Democratic Party, PDP,
campaign co-ordinators drawn from the 236 wards across Ogun State, western
Nigeria, on Wednesday beat up the South W est Zonal Secretary of the party,
Chief Pegba Otemolu, for refusing to share the money allegedly given to them by
President Goodluck Jonathan.

coordinators went berserk following the failure of Alhaji Fatai Adeyanju, the
National Auditor of the party and Chief Pegba Otemolu to release the fund
allegedly meant for the state co-

Our correspondent gathered that a
5-hour meeting held at a hotel on Quarry Road in Abeokuta, the state capital,
to sensitise all the 708 Co-ordinators drawn from the 236 wards across the
state, ended in a shouting match which resulted in the attack on the national
officers of the party.

The fiery Enugu priest, Rev. Fr.
Ejike Mbaka yesterday raised fresh alarms over alleged plans to assassinate him
before the March 28 general elections.Mbaka, who spoke through the media
officer of the Adoration Ministry, Enugu, Nigeria, Barr. Ike Maximus Ugwuoke,
cried out that he had been marked for death before the presidential election.In
the Press Statement entitled: “JONATHAN WANTS ME DEAD BEFORE THE 2015
ELECTION”, the Adoration Ministry warned that if anything happened to Fr.
Mbaka, Jonathan’s government would be held responsible.The statement read: “It
is with a deep sense of concern that we are constrained to make this statement

Year message titled “From Good luck to Badluck”.

DSS Parades Six Suspected Kidnappers In Edo
Personnel of the Department of State
Security in Edo State have nabbed six men said to be involved in the kidnap of
a former Local Government Chairman in the state, Anselm Adima.
The suspects were also said to be
involved in the kidnap of a woman who was defiled in the presence of her
daughter, with the pictures of the act taken. The daughter who was also a
victim of the kidnappers was not defiled.
Another suspect was said to have
been a fraudster who impersonated the Chief of Air Staff to hoodwink his unsuspecting victims.
Parading the suspects before
Governor Adams Oshiomhole, Wednesday, Director of the state command of the
State Security Service, Bello Bakori said, “this group of criminals here
paraded are those involved in fraud, kidnapping, car snatching and robbery”.

Agency have arrested a man smuggling 35.115 kilogramme of Cannabis sativa
hidden inside sausage rolls to China.
Friday Ogbonna, 33, was arrested at
the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos, during a screening of
passengers on their way to China, the anti-narcotics agency said in a statement
Wednesday.
In addition to Mr. Ogbonna, the
agency also arrested David Famolu, 34, and Joy Osamunyi, 26, on their way to
Dubai with 4kg and 19.640kg of cannabis respectively.
Lagos Govt to appeal court ruling banning restriction of movement during sanitation exercise
Lagos state government says it would
be appealing the court ruling by a Federal High court banning the restriction
of movement during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in the
state.Speaking on the ban, the state Attorney-general and Commissioner for
justice, Ade Ipaye, said the state government was not satisfied with the court
ruling and would be appealing it.
Man Dies at a Funeral after Drinking Competition
An alcohol-drinking contest has claimed one life and
hospitalized two others in a Benin hospital. The deceased, Famous Ogbeide, 25,
and three others were drinking different brands of hot drinks at the funeral of
their friend’s father. TheNation reports that he emerged winner in the first
and second rounds of the contest, but failed to collect his prize of N4,000 as
he died in the hospital. Sources said the contest was initiated by one of the
youths at the party.

Jonathan’s police outrider crashes to death in Abuja
One of the best police outriders in President Goodluck Jonathan’s convoy, Sirajo Alkali, has died in a crash along the Abuja airport road.
The incident happened on Saturday when Mr. Jonathan was returning to Abuja after a brief visit to Adamawa State, a source told PREMIUM TIMES.
Mr. Alkali, a 32 year-old Police Corporal from Edo State, was said to have been one of the most gifted riders attached to the office of the president.
A presidency source who asked not to be quoted because he was not authorised to speak on the matter, said Mr. Alkali and other members of the presidential convoy had departed the Aso Villa on the fateful day to receive Mr. Jonathan.
